I’ve had to tweak my marathon training schedule to accommodate my work schedule, mainly during those shorter distance runs (3-5 miles). But what about long distance runs? (7+ miles)?
I’m up for work at 5:30 AM and have to be at work by 7:00 AM. I’m finished work around 7:30 PM, sometimes later, which means that including travel time to and from work, I’m out of the house at least 14 hours.
I figured that the shorter runs can be done on the treadmill before leaving for work, however, some of my longer scheduled runs happen on weekends when I’m scheduled. I’m scheduled to run 9 miles on Saturday.
Any suggestions as to how I can incorporate these long runs into my schedule?
