Favorite breakfasts: Brown Rice Cereal
I absolutely love breakfast foods and can eat them all day long whether it is scrambled tofu or a bowl of Lucky Charms.
Recently I started making brown rice cereal. It’s healthy and full of protein and fiber to keep you fuller longer. Here’s the recipe:
• 1 cup brown rice (I used the steamers bag for convenience but feel free to use what you like/have on hand)
• 1/2 cup plant-based milk ( Generally I favor coconut, hazelnut or almond milk)
• Sweetener to taste ( I alternate between raw honey or agave nectar)
• Mix of nuts: walnuts, almonds, cashews
• Pure vanilla extract
Simmer all ingredients on low heat while stirring frequently to avoid burning it.
Took about 10 minutes total. Enjoy!!!
